Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

The Terrace Café ("we", "us", "our") is a café operating at 42-A Johar Town, Lahore, 54000, Pakistan. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For anything related to privacy, write to hello@theterracecafe.pk or call +92 300 758 4216.

2. Information we collect

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a café and this website.

• Reservations and orders. Your name, phone number, email address, party size, date and time, and any notes you give us, such as allergies or a seating preference.
• Enquiries. Whatever you include when you call, email, or message us about cakes, private mornings, or feedback.
• Payments. Card and digital wallet payments are handled by our bank and payment providers. We receive a confirmation and a receipt reference, not your full card number.
• Website usage. Basic technical data recorded by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the time of the visit.
• Premises. CCTV footage recorded inside the café and at the entrance for safety and security.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we do not ask for sensitive personal data such as religion, health records, or biometric identifiers.

3. How we use it

• To hold and confirm your table, and to prepare your order correctly.
• To answer your questions and follow up on feedback or a complaint.
• To take payment and keep the accounting and tax records the law requires.
• To keep the café, our guests, and our team safe.
• To understand how the website is used so we can keep it fast and useful.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

4. Marketing messages

We only send occasional emails or WhatsApp messages about the café if you have asked us to. Every message includes a way to stop, and you can also tell any member of our team, or email us, to be removed. Removal is permanent unless you ask to be added again.

5. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google may log that request in line with its own privacy policy. If you would prefer to avoid this, most browsers allow you to block third-party requests.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for a short period for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not used to build a profile of you.

6. Who we share it with

Personal information is shared only with parties who help us operate, and only as far as is needed:

• Payment processors and our bank, for transactions and refunds.
• Our website hosting and email providers, who store the data on our behalf.
• Delivery partners, when your order reaches you through one of them.
• Professional advisers, auditors, or authorities where we are legally required to disclose information.

7. How long we keep it

Reservation and enquiry records are kept for up to twelve months. Payment and accounting records are kept for as long as tax and company law in Pakistan requires, normally six years. CCTV footage is normally overwritten within thirty days unless it is needed for an ongoing incident. Marketing contact details are kept until you ask us to remove them.

8. How we protect it

Access to guest data is limited to the people who need it to do their job. Devices and accounts used by the café are password protected, our website is served over HTTPS, and we review access when a team member leaves. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us and to act quickly if something goes wrong.

9. Your choices

You may ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
• Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
• Stop sending you marketing messages.

10. Links to other sites

Where we link to a map, a delivery partner, or another external service, that service has its own privacy policy and we are not responsible for how it handles your information.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be mentioned in the café as well.
